Description

Mediaman is an independent agency for digital products, platforms, and experiences. They currently employ 150 digital experts in Germany, China, and the US. They create digital products, platforms, and experiences that are engaging and effective.  The in-house team combines strategists, innovators, UX/UI designers, and programmers with a shared vision: that is to empower humans to experience and immerse in digital innovations.

I mainly worked as an assistant UX designer in a strategic project on social collaborative car configuration for our customer Porsche China.

I quickly familiarized myself with the task and was able to contribute essential ideas, wireframes, and UI suggestions for the prototype.

I had the pleasure of joining Mediaman, mainly working as an assistant UX designer in a strategic project on social collaborative car configuration for our customer Porsche China.

I quickly familiarized myself with the task and was able to contribute essential ideas, wireframes,s and UI suggestions for the prototype.

I understood quickly and proactively sought solutions made me a respected team member in a short space of time.

Design 

We went through a lot of different stages in Porsche Social collaboration, Session Management, Product Configuration, Fitting Lounge Integration, and Software Requirements part, this mini-program design is a total 0-1 project.

  • Wireframe- all wireframes in one cloud-based application 

  • Did User stories for the Porsche Mini-program, did wireframes, flowcharts, interaction stages, and notifications according to ti Porsche Users’ cases 

  • Create Key Elements Library, understand the end-user- conduct a lot of research, specify end user’s needs - design solution to problem = evaluate design - iteration 

  • Interaction Library - Definition of an interaction based on a user’s action, such as: on tap, on the press, swipe left, etc

  • Message & Notification Library - System feedback based on a user’s action

  • Pagelist for wireframe sitemap - A list of all pages and referring wireframes

  • According to the PRD Document A document describing the main function and technical relation

Overview

In this intern experience, I've really enjoyed both, and especially earlier on in my career being a generalist, it was a really good way for me to ramp up on all things UX. I got to work on such a variety of stages in the Porsche project and it really helped me to hone my craft.

 

Once I had been in the UX space for a while, I realized that I really was more drawn to logical UX design challenges, and that's what led me along the UX design path. I can definitely see the benefits in both being a generalist and specialist and maybe more so being a generalist when I worked in Mediaman.
